Hello everybody!

We are happy to present you the next workshop, which will be very interesting for those, who are not born and raised in Germany.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, USA

I hold a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Purdue University, a specialization in Business Anthropology, and a M.Sc. in Public Health from the Berlin School of Public Health – Charité. My academic background, combined with extensive experience in intercultural communication and workplace integration, allows me and my company to help international professionals adapt to German business culture. I have worked with several multinational companies, providing cultural coaching and strategic consulting to support professional and social integration.

In addition to my consulting work, I run a language school in Lübeck, Germany, focusing on practical, real-world training for professionals in international companies.


Workshop: Navigating Intercultural Communication in the German Workplace

20.03. 16:00-17:30 h

This workshop provides practical insights into intercultural communication, helping international professionals understand how to navigate workplace expectations and social norms in Germany. Participants will explore key topics such as:

  • German communication styles: Directness, formal vs. informal language, and workplace hierarchy
  • Small talk: What topics are appropriate, and how to start conversations with German colleagues
  • Professional behavior: Punctuality, initiative and handling conflicts
  • Job interviews & workplace integration: How to present yourself confidently

Through interactive activities and real-world scenarios, attendees will gain valuable skills to communicate effectively and build successful professional relationships in Germany.
