The course introduces key concepts of sustainable urban development in a European context. It addresses values and mindsets for sustainability transformation, planetary boundaries, and the ecological, social, and economic dimensions of sustainable development. Students also gain an overview of European frameworks supporting the green and digital transition and explore examples from cities within the U!REKA European University Alliance.
