Die gebaute Umwelt verändert sich – die Frage ist: Wie gestaltest Du sie mit?
Nachhaltigkeit, Digitalisierung und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung fordern neue Lösungen und unternehmerische Ansätze. Vieles davon ist noch nicht entwickelt. Es braucht Menschen, die bereit sind, diese Wege zu gehen.
Dieser Kurs richtet sich an Studierende der Architektur, des Bauingenieurwesens, des Zukunftssicher Bauen, des Geodaten- sowie des Real Estate Managements, die ihre Fähigkeiten nutzen möchten, um eigene Ideen zu entwickeln und unternehmerische Perspektiven in der gebauten Umwelt zu erschließen.
Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage:
Wie kannst Du mit Deinen Fähigkeiten und Deinem Wissen nicht nur bestehende Strukturen bedienen, sondern aktiv neue Handlungsfelder schaffen?
In diesem Seminar lernst Du,
- welche Parallelen zwischen Deinem Studium und unternehmerischem Denken bestehen,
- die Grundlagen von Design Thinking, Innovation und Entrepreneurship,
- wie aus ersten Beobachtungen tragfähige Ideen und Konzepte entstehen,
- wie Du Deine berufliche Zukunft aktiv gestalten kannst.
Der Kurs ist als experimenteller Lernraum aufgebaut: In interaktiven Formaten sowie in Gruppen- und Einzelarbeit entwickelst Du schrittweise eine eigene Vision für die gebaute Umwelt – von der Identifikation einer Herausforderung über die Entwicklung eines tragfähigen Konzepts bis hin zu einem ersten Prototypen.
Dabei steht allein die Methode im Fokus, sondern auch Deine persönliche Entwicklung: Du lernst, Deine Fähigkeiten zu nutzen, um Chancen zu schaffen, innovative Prozesse zu strukturieren und unternehmerisches Denken in Deine fachliche Praxis zu integrieren.
Das Modul schließt mit einer finalen Präsentation – einem Pitch – im House of Science and Transfer (HoST) der UAS ab. Hier führst Du Deine Ergebnisse zusammen und präsentierst Dein Konzept sowie Deinen Prototypen in einem praxisnahen Format.
Der Kurs ist ein Pool Kurs der Querschnittsprofessur Entrepreneurship im Bauwesen für Masterstudierende der verschiedenen Studiengänge am Fachbereich 1. Er wird in englischer Sprache angeboten, Studierenden steht es frei ihre Teilnahme und Beiträge in deutscher Sprache zu formulieren.
Für Studierende des Master Zukunftssicher Bauen:
Als Forschungsprojekt wird das Entwickeln eines Unternehmenskonzeptes definiert. Es beinhaltet den Transfer von angewandter Forschung, neuer Technologien und Entwicklungssansätzen in die Planung- und Bauindustrie. Studierende entwickeln ein Thema wie oben beschrieben, und bauen es auf einer breiteren Analyse zum Stand der Forschung, der Industrie und des Marktes auf.
Für die Vertiefung (WP8) ist eine weitere Ausarbeitung des Lösungsansatzes und Testen des Prototypen vorgesehen.

The built environment is changing – the question is: how will you shape it?
Sustainability, digitalization, and social responsibility demand new solutions and entrepreneurial approaches. Many of these solutions do not yet exist. What is needed are people who are willing to explore new paths.
This course is aimed at students of architecture, civil engineering, future-oriented construction, geomatics, and real estate management who want to use their skills to develop their own ideas and explore entrepreneurial perspectives in the built environment.
At the core of the course is the question:
How can you use your skills and knowledge not only to operate within existing structures, but to actively create new fields of action?
In this seminar, you will learn:
- what parallels exist between your studies and entrepreneurial thinking,
- the fundamentals of design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship,
- how initial observations can be transformed into viable ideas and concepts,
- how to actively shape your professional future.
The course is designed as an experimental learning environment: through interactive formats as well as group and individual work, you will gradually develop your own vision for the built environment – from identifying a challenge to developing a viable concept and creating an initial prototype.
The focus is not only on methods, but also on your personal development: you will learn how to leverage your skills to create opportunities, structure innovative processes, and integrate entrepreneurial thinking into your professional practice.
The module concludes with a final presentation – a pitch – at the House of Science and Transfer (HoST) at UAS. Here, you will bring together your work and present your concept and prototype in a practice-oriented format.
The course is offered as a pool course by the professorship for Entrepreneurship in the Built Environment and is open to master’s students from various degree programs in Faculty 1. The course is held in English, students are welcomed and free to contribute and work in German language.
For students of the Master’s program Sustainable Structures:
This research project is defined as the development of a business concept. It involves the transfer of applied research, new technologies, and development approaches to the planning and construction industry. Students develop a topic as described above and build upon it through a broader analysis of the state of research, the industry, and the market.
For the in-depth phase (WP8), further elaboration of the solution approach and testing of the prototype are planned.
