Dear students,
Welcome to your free intensive English course (level B2)!
I- Class dates, times and place:
Our class will start on Monday, August 29th, and will end on Friday, September 16th 2022. It will take place in Room 324 in Building BCN, from 9:30 am to 1 pm (with a half-hour break in-between).
II- Class textbook:
On the first day of class, you must bring the following textbook to class:
Life Upper Intermediate (B-Split Version) by National Geographic Learning (ISBN 978-1-337-63150-1).
III- Class requirements:
In order to participate in this class, a B1 level of English is strongly recommended (CEFR).
- a minimum attendance of 75%, which entails active participation in class,
- a 90-minute written test based on language exercises (70% of the grade),
- a presentation based on a topic related to your major field of study (min. 10 minutes / max. 15 minutes)(30%)
This course is meant to
- refresh or consolidate your present knowledge of the language in an intensive and engaging manner, through discussions surrounding topics of general interest,
- prepare you for your English courses within your field of study,
- help you with your future studies or work environment, and be fun!
