1.Various topics on NPOs – Theory & Practice
2.Developing Idea & Planning Projects
This module critically considers the international definition of social work and key concepts in social work such as social Justice, Human Rights, Participation, Diversity and Inclusion and Indigenous Theories in the context of international and transnational social work. National as well as international ideas and examples will be used to outline the concepts. Students will be required to link the concepts with active research about organisations and consider how these concepts apply/don’t apply in practice. The module will comprise of lectures, readings, research and discussion. The seminar will take place in English. The assignment at the end of the module can be submitted in English/German.

Am Ende des Kurses können die Lernenden über sich, ihre Familie, ihre Hobbys und ihr Studium in der Gegenwart und Vergangenheit sprechen und Fragen dazu beantworten. Sie verstehen persönliche E-Mails und Briefe und können darauf reagieren. Sie können sich in Alltagssituationen (Supermarkt, Arzt, Kaufhaus …) verständigen und auf einfache Fragen in diesem Kontext reagieren.
At the end of this module you are able to talk about yourself, your family, your hobbies and major in past and present tense. You can also answer questions regarding those topics. You understand private e-mails / letters and are able to react in an appropriate manner. You can communicate in daily life situations (e.g. in the supermarket, at the doctors) and you can interact in a simple way in this context.
