Welcome to Academic Skills for Nursing Management
This course prepares you for the academic and professional demands of your B.A. — and for the kind of critical thinking that makes a genuinely good manager. Over thirteen sessions, we work on reading, writing, and communication skills through topics that matter in nursing: burnout, patient safety, AI, leadership, etc.
Every session is built around discussion and debate. Your experience in nursing is not background — it is part of the curriculum.
What you will do in this course:
- Read and critically evaluate academic texts and research
- Write structured, evidence-based arguments — from paragraphs to full essays
- Watch and analyse expert talks on contested healthcare topics
- Debate live questions in nursing management with your peers
- Give an individual presentation on a research question of your own choosing
- Dozent/in: Natalia Fischer-Giannini
