This Moodle course accompanies the regular obligatory module "English for Geomatics" which is part of the study programme "Bachelor Geodatenmanagement". The module is placed in the second semester and it is recommended to take it in the second semester as it features many discussions that rely on students having some previous knowledge in the broader context of the field of study.
There is no course book for this programme but materials are provided weekly by the teachers and are uploaded on Moodle or distributed in class.
Participation in weekly lessons is obligatory in order to pass the exam pre-requisite.
The exam consists of two parts: in-class presentation (oral component) and written exam. More information will be provided in class.
And, and, and ... but, but, but ...

you can use to improve your academic writing, with a particular focus on
linking words.
In this workshop, we will focus on reading academic texts in English and how to prepare them accordingly for a discussion.
There's more to British and American English than just "football" vs.
