This course consists of the following components:

  1. A weekly lecture in which the basics and principles of research in Human-Machine Interfaces are discussed.
  2. Exercises and project work to design and evaluate user studies to answer a relevant research question (project teamwork).
  3. Interim presentations, weekly assignments, and a scientific paper with a project presentation at the end of the semester (alongside a documentation submission).

In this course you learn the basics of HMI research, focus on a specific research topic, execute a study and write a scientific report that will be presented and evaluated in a final presentation at the end of the semester. 

The exercise blocks deal with various topics and are supervised by the appropriate doctoral candidates and tutors. The lecture begins in the first week of the semester. The exercise starts in the second week of the semester.
